The Pipeline Diagnostic is a ten working day study of who AI assistants and search shortlist when your buyers ask for what you do, and what it will take to be on that list. It costs £2,500 at the founding rate to 31 December 2026, credited in full against month one of the Pipeline Engine. It maps your buyers' questions with dated screenshots, records who is shortlisted instead of you and the sources behind them, checks the technical and entity signals underneath, sizes the pipeline gap in enquiries, and ends in a 90-day plan presented live.

Two thirds of UK senior buyers now use AI tools to research suppliers, and 85 per cent have found a new supplier through an AI answer. When a facilities manager or an M&E contractor asks who supplies or maintains what you make, a short list comes back. The Diagnostic tells you whether you are on it, who is, and why.

Who it is for

UK power and energy infrastructure engineering firms with 10 to 249 staff

Two kinds of firm, where the MD or sales director owns the decision and a won contract is worth five figures or more.

01

Power equipment and critical power

Switchgear, drives, UPS, generators, transformers and power quality: the firms that build, supply, service and refurbish them.

02

Grid and storage delivery

Independent connection providers, HV contractors, and the EPC and O&M firms behind battery storage and solar.

Size

10 to 249 staff

Large enough to have engineers whose knowledge is worth publishing, small enough that the MD or sales director sits in the brief and the presentation.

What you get: five deliverables

  1. The buyer-question map. The questions your buyers type when they need what you do, agreed with you first, then run through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI with a dated screenshot of every answer. Who is named, who is cited, whether you appear.
  2. Who is shortlisted instead, and why. The firms recommended in your place, question by question, and the sources each answer was built from: their own pages, a directory, a trade title, a guide. This is what a plan has to displace.
  3. The technical and entity findings. Whether AI crawlers can read your site, whether your structured data says what your pages say, and whether your name, location and capabilities agree across LinkedIn, Companies House and the directories that list you. Each finding with the fix.
  4. The pipeline gap, in enquiries. Which of your capability terms buyers ask about, which they do not, and what being absent is costing you in enquiries a month, worked from your own quote history rather than an industry average.
  5. The 90-day plan. What to publish, what to fix and where to be listed, in the order that reaches a first enquiry soonest. Presented live, and yours whether or not the Engine follows.

What one answer in the map looks like

Each question gets a window like this one, from a public sample run on 9 September 2026 with the firms described rather than named. In your Diagnostic, they are named.

What came back

Five switchgear firms' own service pages, one refurbish-or-replace cost guide written by a testing contractor, and one blog.

Our readingThe only guide a buyer would read was written by a testing contractor.

How it runs

Ten working days, presented live

One hour of your time at the start and 45 minutes at the end. Nobody on your side writes anything.

  1. Day 1The brief. An hour with the MD or sales director: what you sell, who buys it, last year's quotes won and lost.
  2. Days 2 to 6The map. The buyer questions agreed with you, then run and screenshotted across the four assistants. Who is shortlisted and the sources behind each name.
  3. Days 7 to 9The findings. Technical and entity checks, the pipeline gap from your own numbers, and the 90-day plan.
  4. Day 10The presentation. A 45-minute call, the findings and the plan walked through, the document yours to keep.

What it costs

Written here, not quoted on a call. The founding rate is for the first three clients and carries founding terms in both directions.

Founding rate
£2,500, for the first three clients, to 31 December 2026.
Then
£3,500. £5,000 for firms with £10m turnover and above.
Payment
Half up front, half on the day it is presented.
Credit
Credited in full against month one of the Pipeline Engine when the Engine starts within 30 days of the presentation.
Founding terms
A named case study and a reference call are part of the agreement for the first three clients. In return the Engine rate is locked for twelve months.
Yours to keep
The buyer-question map, the screenshots, the findings and the 90-day plan, whether or not the Engine follows.

What if it says you do not need us?

Then it says so, and you keep the map. If your firm is already on the shortlist for most of your buyers' questions and a third party is backing that up, the honest advice is to hold the position with a light monthly measure rather than buy a programme. The Diagnostic is priced so that we can afford to say that.

Not ready to spend anything yet? The free snapshot runs five of your buyer questions and sends the screenshots back within three working days. The monthly programme the Diagnostic leads into is the Pipeline Engine; how every number is measured is on how we measure.

£2,500 at the founding rate, for the first three clients and until 31 December 2026. After that it is £3,500, and £5,000 for firms with £10m turnover and above. Half is paid up front and half on the day it is presented. The whole fee is credited against month one of the Pipeline Engine if the Engine starts within 30 days of the presentation.

The audit is the first half of it: the buyer-question map, the dated screenshots and the technical and entity findings. The Diagnostic adds the half a sales director needs, which is who is being shortlisted instead of you and the sources behind them, the pipeline gap counted in enquiries, and a 90-day plan presented live. The explainer on what an audit is and what it costs in the UK is on the AI visibility audit page.

Ten working days. From you: an hour with the MD or sales director on day one for the brief, the list of quotes you won and lost in the last year if you keep one, and 45 minutes at the end for the live presentation. Nobody on your side has to write anything.

Then it says so, and you keep the map. If your firm is already on the shortlist for most of your buyers' questions and a third party is backing that up, the advice is to hold the position with a light monthly measure, and we say that in the presentation. The Diagnostic is priced so that we can afford to.

No. The 90-day plan is written so that your own team or another supplier could run it, with each item sequenced by speed to first enquiry. If you do start the Engine within 30 days, the full Diagnostic fee comes off month one, so the Diagnostic has cost you nothing.
