A free AI visibility check tells you whether AI assistants name your firm when a buyer asks a buying question. KS Media writes five real buyer questions for your sector, runs them by hand through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers, screenshots every answer, and sends the result within three working days. It costs nothing and there is no call attached.

What the check is

An AI visibility checker is usually software, and most "ChatGPT visibility checkers" are the same thing: a generic prompt set run against your brand name, returning a score. This is not that. It is the five-prompt battery behind the paid audit, run once, free, by hand.

The five prompts

Five questions a buyer in your sector would actually type, in UK phrasing, about the capability you sell. Not "best engineering firm UK" but "who repairs obsolete variable speed drives in the UK".

They come from what you tell us you make, build or fix, and they are fixed for your firm so a later run is comparable. The rules for writing them are on how we measure.

The assistants

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers (AI Overviews and AI Mode), plus the ordinary Google results those answers draw on. Microsoft Copilot on request, since its answers come from the Bing index and matter for procurement teams on corporate desktops.

What you get back

A short PDF: the five prompts, a dated screenshot of each answer, which firms were named and which were cited, whether your firm appeared, and one line per answer on why. No proposal attached unless you ask for one.

Read one first: the redacted sample snapshot for a low voltage switchgear firm (PDF, eleven pages, run on 10 September 2026). The competing firms in it are described rather than named. In yours they are named.

What one answer looks like

Search sample · storage9 Sep 2026

containerised battery storage system supplier UK

The top results are an analyst note naming three global cell manufacturers, two distributors, a hire fleet, three container fabricators and an overseas manufacturer's own product page.

ObservedNo UK engineering integrator is named. The answer is made of manufacturers, distributors and box builders.

Search results sampled 9 Sep 2026; assistant answers draw on these sources; full method on /how-we-measure. Firms are described here rather than named. In your own check, they are named.

How long it takes

Three working days from your message. It takes that long because a person writes the prompts, runs them, and reads the answers.

Tell us what you make, build or fix.

That one sentence is enough to write the five prompts. If you already know the question your best customer asked before they found you, put that in too.

  • Runs on the next working day after your message.
  • Screenshots back within three working days.
  • No call attached. No sequence. One email with the PDF.

Three questions people ask first

Yes. The five-prompt snapshot costs nothing and there is no call attached. It is the first rung of a ladder whose next rung is a paid audit, and we are open about that. If it shows your firm is already named on most of the prompts, we say so and leave you alone.

A person runs it. An automated AI visibility checker runs a generic prompt set against your brand name and scores it. This check writes five questions a buyer in your sector would actually ask, runs them by hand through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers, and screenshots each answer with its date.

They go to Kirish Sanjeevvijay, the founder, who runs the check and sends the result back by email. Your details are not added to a newsletter or a sequence, and they are not shared. If you want the follow-up conversation, you ask for it.

After the check

If the answer is "not named", the audit says why.

The snapshot tells you where you stand. The audit tells you who is being recommended instead, what they have that you do not, and the 90-day plan to change it. Fixed fee, credited against month one.
